Five words between you and buying dinner like a local. Real Spanish, real life, less panic.
🧠 Think-a-Link🔊 Real Spanish audio🔥 XP + streak🎮 Market survival game🇬🇧 English rescue everywhere
01 · Your mission
Welcome to the mercadillo. Nobody gave you the rulebook.
Today you only need five Spanish words. Not fifty. Not a grammar lecture. Five words that can actually help you buy food, ask a useful question and leave with your dignity intact.
Episode 04 · Market Queue Chaos · Neuro-Spanish for You!
🇪🇸 Objetivo: Aprender solo cinco palabras que puedas usar hoy mismo en un mercado español.
🇬🇧 Goal: Learn only five words you can actually use today in a Spanish market.
⏱️ Time: About 8–12 minutes. Stop whenever you need. Come back without guilt.
🏆 Rule: Mistakes do not subtract points. Your brain learns by trying, not by being punished.
02 · The scene
Charles has made a tactical error.
Charles llega al mercadillo de La Cala convencido de que comprar unos tomates será fácil.
Manolo ya le ha advertido: “Aquí primero miras, luego preguntas y después sobrevives”.
Charles encuentra un puesto lleno de fruta,
verdura y pescado.
Quiere un kilo de tomates,
saber si el pescado está fresco,
pedir una bolsa y, sobre todo,
conseguir decir adiós antes de que alguien le pregunte algo que no entiende.
🧠 Neurotip: Your brain remembers language better when the word is attached to a concrete scene, an emotion and a ridiculous image. That is exactly what the Think-a-Link does.
03 · Your five survival words
Five words. One market. Zero grammar panic.
The five words for today: kilo · limpio · fresco · bolsa · adiós
1

“¿Me lo puede dar limpio?”
Think-a-Link: your white trousers survived the market. Miracle: ¡LIMPIO!
3

“¿Está fresco?”
Think-a-Link: a fish in sunglasses says: “Relax. Estoy FRESCO.”
4

Think-a-Link: the universal expat tragedy: remembering the BOLSA after paying.

Think-a-Link: your emergency escape button when the conversation becomes too Spanish.
04 · Hover rescue
Read the mini-story. Hover or tap the dotted Spanish.
No dictionary detour. Stay inside the story.
Charles entra en el mercado y mira los
tomates. Quiere comprar
un kilo, pero también ve un puesto de
pescado. Señala una pieza y pregunta:
“¿Está fresco?”
La vendedora sonríe y responde: “Sí, muy fresco”.
Después Charles pregunta si se lo puede dar
limpio.
Al pagar descubre que ha olvidado su
bolsa.
“¿Me da una bolsa, por favor?”
Misión cumplida. Sonríe, levanta la mano y dice
adiós.
05 · Real-life dialogue

Buenos días. Un kilo de tomates, por favor.
Good morning. One kilo of tomatoes, please.

Of course. Anything else?
CHARLES
Ese pescado… ¿está fresco?
That fish… is it fresh?
VENDEDORA
Fresquísimo. Ha llegado esta mañana.
Very fresh. It arrived this morning.
CHARLES
Perfecto. ¿Me lo puede dar limpio?
Perfect. Can you give it to me cleaned?
VENDEDORA
Claro. ¿Necesita una bolsa?
Of course. Do you need a bag?
CHARLES
Sí, una bolsa, por favor. Gracias. ¡Adiós!
Yes, a bag, please. Thanks. Goodbye!
MANOLO, DESDE LA SILLA
¡Charles! ¡Eso ya parecía español!
Charles! That almost sounded Spanish!

Question 1 / 10
Mistakes do not remove XP. Choose what you would actually say.
08 · 5-SECOND BRAIN TEST
No translating marathon. React.
1 / 5
You have five seconds. This trains rapid retrieval, not perfection.
09 · Neurolearning checkpoint
Why only five words?
Small load, strong retrieval. You are not trying to “finish Spanish”. You are building five reliable hooks that your brain can retrieve under real-life pressure. Hear them, see them, laugh at them, use them, retrieve them again.

10 · Mission complete
Five words today. A more confident you tomorrow.
You do not need perfect Spanish to live more independently in Spain. You need useful Spanish that appears when you need it.
